she mentioned being there at your birth so in her world you and Tommy may still be her natural kids I figured any explanation might make more sense from you
I don't think there's any way to make any of it make sense in a way that sounds like it's sense-making but it didn't sound real the first time I said it either and it went over better than I expected, so.
Hopefully the whole "sorry we were reabsorbed into Mephisto, but we were reincarnated elsewhere" thing doesn't cause any breakdowns.
[ It's quite late (or early, to some perspectives) when Red Robin drops into sight outside a window at Bishop Publishing. He lands a foot on the window ledge and manages to get into a crouching position on it. There are stealthier ways to enter via a window, but he wasn't feeling up to a climb. Hence, grappling up and then lowering himself down to ledge.
Even crouching hurts, body parts that don't want to move are scrunched or curled. He wants to go home, but the damage to his face won't vanish overnight. There's a split lip, and what might very well be a bruise in the morning, and Tim Drake can't explain injuries away without a sports team.
So here he is to beg for a healing spell from the local wizard. After the initial internal scream of pain is done and the position shifts to constantly bad but fine, he knocks on the window. ]
( he's sleeping. or, dozing. billy tends sleep whenever when he's not in the middle of something. there's not really anything else to do. so he's awake enough that he hears the thunk of someone landing just outside his window and quickly swings his legs off the bed, heading over to the window as pajamas shift into his wiccan outfit. just in time apparently, because he notices red robin knocking on the window, beat up and bloodied, and billy's reaching to pull it open. it wasn't locked, just closed. )
Hey - are you okay? What happened?
( concern's clear in his tone of voice. billy steps away from the window, enough to give robin space to let himself in. )
[ He's grateful for the assist with the window. While he could open the window, it would involve additional movements, and Red Robin would very much like to avoid any additional strain on his ribs.
The vigilante grabs the window frame and slides himself through and onto his feet. There's only a tiny hitch in his breath as he ducks his head under the sash and pushes to straighten himself.
(This is why Nightwing prefers to be fine on the floor when he makes a late night window entrance.) ]

maybe not your mom mom but a version
and not Kaplan but Wanda's here
[is Kate voice to text texting? More than likely, but this is important, and he needs to know right now!]

I saw 'Wanda' but I didn't stop to think it might be her I guess.
Two chaos witches, one small planet. What are the odds?
