I don't think there's any way to make any of it make sense in a way that sounds like it's sense-making but it didn't sound real the first time I said it either and it went over better than I expected, so.
Hopefully the whole "sorry we were reabsorbed into Mephisto, but we were reincarnated elsewhere" thing doesn't cause any breakdowns.
